Gear & Permission Slip
ALL SCOUTS & ADULTS NEED THIS TO GO INTO THE CAVE

Equipment needs for in the caves are as follow:
Required Suggested
At least 2 flashlights Gloves
3rd light source (candles are good) Water
Matches or lighter Knee pads
Hard hat or helmet (it WILL get scratched up) Snack (ALL trash will be carried out by you)
Long pants Small pack to carry supplies
Permission slip Camera (one-use with flash works great)
Plenty of extra batteries (your lights will be on for 5-10 hours) Eye glass strap

Sturdy shoes/boots Head light
Sweatshirt

Keep in mind that the caves are about 60 degrees year round, so clothing should be appropriate. The caves are also damp, with standing water in some places, plan on getting at least a little wet. Clothing will definitely get a little dirty. OK, REALLY FILTHY! I believe we will be camping in the entrance to one of the caves, so be prepared. If time permits, we may go back into the cave Sunday morning for a brief spell. Please plan on dry clothes for after you come out and a spare change of clean clothes and shoes for the drive home.
